One of West Palm Beach Police’s biggest challenges in the South End is the lack of surveillance. Installing high speed cameras at major intersections and low speed cameras on select corners would flag stolen vehicles and reduce crime significantly. We are coming together as a community to assist our officers and solve this problem.
Thank you for your interest in the South End Camera Initiative! We are raising funds to install crime-prevention technology such as License Plate Readers (LPR’s) and CCTV cameras in strategic locations in the south end of West Palm Beach. This hardware will be managed by WPBPD’s Real Time Crime Center and will drastically assist our officers in both crime prevention and apprehension.
