This unique event brings together school coaches and members of the Police Department to teach youth valuable basketball skills and techniques. But the impact goes far beyond the court. National Night Out is an annual event that takes place across the U.S. on the first Tuesday of August, dedicated to fostering police-community partnerships and strengthening neighborhood bonds. Here in West Palm Beach, our police department, along with other community organizations, hosts a lively block party featuring a “Dunk the Chief” tank, a bounce house, giant lawn games, and other fun activities. School supplies are also handed out to children, ensuring they are ready for the upcoming school year.

This event is more than just a celebration—it’s a crucial opportunity to enhance relationships between neighbors and law enforcement, bringing back a true sense of community under positive and engaging circumstances.
