Events that Strenghthen Our Community
At THE FUND, we believe a safer, more connected community starts with strong relationships between law enforcement and the public. Our impactful events, like Shop with a Cop and National Night Out, bring together neighbors, officers, and community partners to strengthen trust and unity. Explore our events below to see how you can help ensure West Palm Beach remains a safe, caring place for all.
National Night Out
National Night Out is an annual event that takes place across the U.S. on the first Tuesday of August, dedicated to fostering police-community partnerships and strengthening neighborhood bonds. Here in West Palm Beach, our police department, along with other community organizations, hosts a lively block party featuring a “Dunk the Chief” tank, a bounce house, giant lawn games, and other fun activities. School supplies are also handed out to children, ensuring they are ready for the upcoming school year.
This event is more than just a celebration—it’s a crucial opportunity to enhance relationships between neighbors and law enforcement, bringing back a true sense of community under positive and engaging circumstances. By donating to THE FUND, you help us continue hosting events like National Night Out, where trust is built, connections are strengthened, and our neighborhoods become safer, more caring places to live.
Operation “Push”
Pray Until Something Happens “Push” is a powerful event on Tamarind Avenue that unites neighbors, clergy, college fraternities & sororities, and community partners for an evening of food, music, and fun with a Gospel-infused theme. This event is more than just a gathering—it’s an opportunity to strengthen community bonds, foster positive relationships, and bring hope to our neighborhoods.
By donating to THE FUND, you help ensure that events like this continue to bring our community together, promoting unity and understanding.
Shop With A Cop
Your donation to THE FUND can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children from indigent families during the holiday season.
Through our “Shop with a Cop” program, we provide these children with the opportunity to shop alongside police officers, purchasing gifts for their families. But this event is about more than just holiday cheer—it’s about building lasting relationships of trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Tamarind Slam
This unique event brings together school coaches and members of the Police Department to teach youth valuable basketball skills and techniques. But the impact goes far beyond the court. By fostering positive interactions between young people and law enforcement, this event helps to build trust and strengthen community ties.
By supporting this event, you’re not just helping youth develop their athletic skills—you’re contributing to a future where trust and cooperation between our police and the next generation thrive.
Holiday Meals Delivery
Police Officers deliver hot, nourishing meals, purchased by THE FUND, directly to those who are unable to leave their homes. The holiday season is a time for warmth, togetherness, and giving back to those who need it most. Through the Holiday Meals program, THE FUND helps to ensure that home-bound seniors and people with disabilities in our community are not forgotten during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
These hand-delivered meals are more than just food—they are a symbol of care and community support. Each visit brings not only a warm meal but also a friendly face, a moment of connection, and the reassurance that the Police care about the community. For many of these residents, the officers’ visit may be the only interaction they have during the holidays, making this initiative all the more meaningful.
Youth sports Slams
THE FUND for West Palm Beach Police is proud to support the West Palm Beach Police Department’s Youth Basketball, Football, and Soccer Slams. These events are generously sponsored by Thul & Dave Brule and are facilitated and hosted by Keiser University in partnership with the West Palm Beach Police Department.
These community-building pop-up sports events are held in various neighborhoods throughout West Palm Beach, bringing together youth, neighbors, and officers for engaging activities, food, and music. This creates a welcoming and energetic atmosphere for all participants, and every youth who attends will receive an event T-shirt.
The Youth Sports Slams are more than just block parties; they are a meaningful step toward building stronger bonds between law enforcement and the community, especially with our youth. These gatherings are part of THE FUND’s commitment to creating safe, united neighborhoods where trust and communication thrive.
