Annual West Palm Beach Police Awards hosted by THE FUND

Honoring Distinguished Service by Police Personnel in 2024

THE FUND for West Palm Beach Police (THE FUND) helps keep the city safe by supporting the police. Established as a not-for-profit organization and led by a volunteer board of directors, THE FUND sponsors programs to improve the relationship between police and the community and rewards distinguished service by members of the department at the Annual Police Awards Ceremony. Over 350 guests, including officers, their families, dignitaries, and leading Donor Members of THE FUND, attended the event at the Kravis Center, which featured a report from Police Chief Tony Araujo. The Department’s Police Awards Selection Committee is chaired by Lt. Sterling Kihei.
 
All police personnel were invited as guests of THE FUND. The event, chaired by Bill Bone, who also served as Master of Ceremonies, featured elegant take-home orchid centerpieces underwritten by Christina and Benjamin MacFarland. Other underwriters included Florida Crystals and The Fanjul Family for the Video Award Program and David and Sondra Mack for the Keepsake Program.
 
Al Adelson, chair, presented THE FUND Award to Lt. Lori Colombino. The Citizen Choice Award was presented by Ricky Wade to Casey English; Mayor Keith James presented the William M. Nealy Community Outreach Award to Nicholas Blutcher; Tyler Schapiro presented Professional Supervisor of the Year Award to Stephanie Wilson; Ned Grace presented Professional Staffer of the Year Award to Teena Thomas; Bob Garvy presented Officer of the Year Award to Rodley Jolicoeur; Rob Frisbie presented Investigator of the Year Award to Jerrell Negron; Paco Gil presented Sworn Supervisor of the Year Award to Michael Oswald, Joe Plumeri presented Lifesaving Medals to James Flaton, Ismael Flores, Natalie Hill, James Ingrassia, Angel Matos, Samuel Neier, Nashawn Quinn, Christopher Tatum, Josue Taveras, and Anthony Testa Tactical Lifesaving Medals to Xavian Blake, Rodley Jolicoeur, Cassandra Knoop, Demetrius Latham, Cristian Maroto, Angel Matos; Pepe Fanjul, Jr. presented the Unit of Distinction Award to the Bike Unit. Bill Meyer presented Fraternal Order of Police Award to Carlos Yermanos.
