Over 400 community members gathered on Sunday, April 13 for the 9th Annual Run with the Cops 5K, held along the beautiful Intracoastal on Flagler Drive in Downtown West Palm Beach. Participants of all ages came out to support the West Palm Beach Police Department.
Eddie-E of WIRK, New Country 103.1 emceed the event, and Heather Luttier chaired the event. The program featured remarks from community leaders including THE FUND Treasurer Tyler Schapiro, Mayor Keith James, and Deputy Chief Rick Shearer, who all spoke to the importance of community connection and support for local law enforcement. Each 5K participant received a collector’s medal at the finish line.
Proceeds benefited THE FUND for West Palm Beach Police, supporting programs like Shop with a Cop, Cops & Scholars, Police Explorers, Victims Assistance Fund, and other initiatives that strengthen the connection between officers and the community.
